Short news: Our new song "Het Blauwe Stad" is featured on a double-CD by Stupid Cat records that celebrates the 50th anniversary of their Silver Rocket indie-disco-night Upstairs at the Garage in London. The CD also features 49 other bands and gives a good overview of the UK indie-underground-scene. You can order the CD directly from the Silver Rocket Website.

Today we received our artist copies of "the supreme collection", a new compilation by our Japanese label Ward records that features our own 'Behind the Scenes' alongside other artists of Ward's world music program - including some really nice Bossa Nova artists from Brasil ("where else???" you might think now, but wait until you hear the new album by Camping on Plug Research...). The CDs came with a set of japanese key-chain toys that are apparently somehow connected to the album. We'll probably be the hot guys of our block when we wear them...

Another note for people reading this from outside Germany:
'Interiors' is now also available in Danmark (from play/rec), Spain (from deli.kolder), Canada (from Scratch Records), Finland (from Lasso Distro) and the USA (from Forced Exposure).
Starting on May 10th it will also finally be available in the UK via Shellshock.

Jullanders Dancefloor-Bombe "Behind the Scenes" ist jetzt als mp3 in jedem gut sortierten Netz erhaeltlich und schaffte es bei Tonspion.de unter dem Signum "Pop Galore" bereits auf Platz zwei der Download-Charts in der gleichnamigen Kategorie. Unser japanisches Label Wardrecords praesentiert das Stueck auf einer Compilation, die Anfang April erscheinen wird. Das Musikvideo zu "Behind the Scenes" wartet unterdessen nervoes auf seinen grossen Durchbruch.

Im Studio gedeihen neue Dinge, fuer deren Beschreibung die Worte antik und opulent ebenso zutreffend scheinen wie modern und stringent. Und zur gleichen Zeit arbeitet ein geheimes Team internationaler Agenten, von Chicagoer Free-Jazz-Musikern bis zu Hamburger Pop-Minimal-Elektronikern, an Altem.

Jullander's dancefloor bomb "Behind the Scenes" is now available as a free mp3. Still a piece of cutting-edge visual arts: the music video for the same song. "Behind the Scenes" will also be on a compilation by our Japanese label Wardrecords, coming out in early April.

New things are growing in the studio. Possible descriptions seem to vary from antique and opulent to modern and straight. In the meantime, a secret team of international agents, from Chicago free-jazz musicians to Hamburg pop-minimal-electronica generators, is working on old things.

'Interiors' erscheint heute in Japan. In Deutschland ist die Platte bereits seit dem 1.9. erhaeltlich und kann über Hausmusik von jedem guten Plattenladen bezogen oder auch direkt dort per Mailorder bestellt werden.

'Interiors' is released in Japan today and has been out in Germany since September 1st. It may be available through some distributors outside Germany and Japan, too (for example Forced Exposure in the US). For the UK no exact release date has been set yet.

Jullander goes Weltmusik. 'Interiors' erscheint nicht nur am 1.9. in Deutschland, sondern auch ab Oktober/November in Japan. Wieder beweisen Ward Records - wie schon bei 'John Symmes' Welt' - wahres transkulturelles Visionaertum.

Ausserdem heiss: Die Veroeffentlichung eines Jullander-Songs auf einer 7" des britischen Labels Twisted Nerve steht kurz bevor.

Gerade kommt die Nachricht herein, dass Semuin aus Berlin als Vorprogramm für den Auftritt am 27.9. im Nachtasyl bestaetigt ist. Wir sind begeistert.

Nicht zu vergessen: Die Jullander-Website hat ein paar interessante Kleinigkeiten zum neuen Album hinzu bekommen. Es gibt jetzt ein mp3 zu hoeren, glaenzende bilder zu sehen und die Texte oder ein englisches Kondensat der Texte zu lesen. Seit einigen Tagen bei uns und demnaechst vielleicht auch als Gewinn eines kleinen Preisraetsels hier auf der Website: die unten abgebildete Japanpressung von "John Symmes' Welt".
Erste inoffizielle Reaktionen auf "Interiors" sind ... interessant, mitunter alarmierend! Ein genaues Veroeffentlichungsdatum steht bis dato noch nicht fest. Waehrenddessen deuten sich im Internet Dinge an, von denen wir selbst noch gar nichts wussten.

It's been a couple of days since we got our own impressive-looking copies of the Japanese "John Symmes Welt" (see below) and we might be doing a small quiz or so here soon where you can win a copy.
First inofficial reactions to "Interiors" have been mostly positive including comparisons to "early Police". Interesting! Still no official release date has been set. Meanwhile we have discovered indications of - at least for us - surprising new Jullander activities on the net.

Heute hat in Hamburg das Theaterstück "norway.today" von Igor Bauersima in der Inszenierung von Andrea Udl Premiere (Thalia Gauss-Strasse). Es spielt unter anderem Joerg Kleemann, der auch auf "Interiors" zu hoeren sein wird. Ausserdem gibt es eines der Stücke vom neuen Album zu hoeren.

Today is the premiere of the theatre piece "norway.today" by Igor Bauersima at Hamburg's Thalia Gauss-Strasse. The line-up of actors includes Joerg Kleeman who has also contributed vocals to "Interiors". The piece also features one of our new songs.

Am Wochenende waren wir wieder in Meyenburg bei Dirk im Studio und haben Stimmen und zusaetzliche Instrumente aufgenommen. "Interiors" nimmt langsam Gestalt an. Im Januar setzen wir uns nochmal dran. Ansonsten wurde "John Symmes' Welt" inzwischen von dem japanischen Label Ward Records lizenziert und soll dort als eine der ersten drei Veroeffentlichungen am 25. Januar auf CD erscheinen.
